The people here are actual angels . I stayed overnight in Ballarat and came here a) for amenities and b) for coffee / food to keep me going on the way home . My coffee was exceptional if a lil bit flat for a latte (don’t waste good coffee. Perfect flavour perfect temp) . Made by a man who was either the owner or a really grouse manager . The young waitress was not only a beautiful genie in physical form but a zen angel to boot and even ran to her car to grab her wireless charger for me to kick start my phone / maps directive (had my usb lightening cable - cord only -in my car ). Also, the fact this cafe has no music on but booths , retro decor and ambiance, so many books as well as a gamut of newspapers lends itself to the mirage you’re at your Nan’s house , wirh a perfect level of hospitality that’s just the right mix of attentive and calm. Thank you angels . Til next time !

A lovely unexpected treat! We just happened upon this quirky cafe and had the most delicious lunch and coffee. Spanakopita pie and salad as well as the lamb and potato pie were scrumptious! Cappuccino was excellent. Highly recommend

Best coffee we had during our time in Ballarat. Friendly owner and Mr Darby, the resident Dachshund, added to the character of an awesome little find. Will return next time we are in town.

Came into this quirky little cafe today on way to Halls Gap, were going to sit outside as my daughter had her dog but owner invited all of us inside so definite bonus. Met Mr Darby his cute little dog and enjoyed a lovely lunch of Spanokapita, chicken and mushroom pastry and egg and bacon roll. Owner is very friendly and attentive. We also bought a couple of baklava which we took away and they were absolutely delicious, probably the best ive had so moist and flaky.
